Comments: Very nice web site you have there. Good luck and it looks like you have a good
Thanks Wayne,,seems simple enough when you point out all that needs to be done. I surely will get back to you . Thanks a million.
Firstly, I'd like to compliment you on an excellent web site! Very informative, and well laid out. When your fingers find those tiny screws bothersome you should switch to web design! Nothing would replace mucking around on motors tho', so disregard my sacrilege!
A great newsletter! Keep it coming.
Your sight provides alot of great information. I have enjoyed the information greatly. Regards
city: tifton comments: thanks for the neat web page. the info is priceless
Hi Wayne, thanks for the swift reply. Unreal a guy like you is out there ! I just purchased the motor but had not tested it prior.
Wayne: You are an absolute genius! I switched the wiring around a bit and the engine runs!
Comments: I enjoy your website. It's informative, clever and well thought out. You should think about relocating to Brigantine, NJ we need someone like you. Thanks.
Comments: Wayne, You seem like a pretty cool dude. I just found your web site and I havnt gone all the way through it yet, but I would like to sign up for the newsletter.
1Comments: thanks a lot for the best, freindliest boat site on the web.
Wayne, you are a man of good character. You and I would get along just fine, and you'd fit in just right with Eastern Montana folks.
Hi Wayne, Just wanted to thank you for your answer. I guess when I see something done by a manufacturer, I expect it to always be right. Your answer made perfect sense when I looked at the transom again. They probably mis-drilled the hull drain first, then drilled the deck drain in the only spot they could.I'll get the one you mentioned from West Marine. Thanks Again,
with your advice I was able to seperate the mercury lower unit from hell, wedges and spinning the starter after a 24 hour upside down soaking did the trick , but it was still quite a challenge, Im an engineer by trade and I wouldnt advise anyone to try this at home without the step by step advice of a pro like yourself. thank you for your help. Pensacola Florida.
Wayne, You are a godsend, to some of us who got into boats, with no idea really what we are doing
Dear Wayne-> > Appreciate the free tech info- not many guys like you out there. I need to > diagnose a problem on this "97 Yamaha Saltwater Series II engine. I have a > total drop of a cylinder when the engine reaches operating
Hi Wayne, This is a really great website you have here. I have a 1991 15 HP Johnson outboard motor that I bought to put on a hydroplane for my kids. I have two problems:
Wane, I just wanted to thank you for taking the time to create your website!! I have Glastron with a 60hp Evinrude.. and the darn thing just wont start! Can you think of ANYTHING else I can do?? Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks again for the helpful site, and I look forward to your response!
a big help, thank you very much...
Hi Wayne, Thaks for all your efforts to help me find the right anti - fouling paint. After reading the VC17M data sheet I don't think that is the right choice. I will be applying the paint while the boat is trailored and won't be able to avoid the fumes and splatters. I'll take your advice and check with some of the local marinas to see if they have any specific recommendations. I have bookmarked your site and plan to explore it when I have the time. Sincerely,
Hi Wayne I think your website is brilliant. Also S Carolina looks pretty good!!!! I too have built a website, bloody hard work! (I am also rather long in the tooth!)
Hello Wayne Fantastic,,!! You hit it right on, the schematic I see it is my out drive. I will have you on my list in the # 1 spot for boating help and questions. Thank you
COMMENT "Wayne Weber saved my outboard. My local Evinrude repair facility said I needed a power head rebuild along with almost all new ignition components. I could not afford this, so I was contemplating selling the boat and motor - - cheap ! Then I contacted some parts sellers that said I needed a new stator because there had been potting component leakage. Neither the repair facility or the part sellers identified the actual problems. Wayne's trouble shooting help, however, isolated the two problems, and quickly !! As it turns out, I had one bad seconday ignition coil and one bad rectifier. The power head was okay, and the stator was okay. I spent $65 instead of $2,000, and my outboard is running great !! Many many thanks to Wanye."
Many many thanks for all your help, and I look forward to your newletters and specials. Tks
Hi wayne, just wanted to say,, great site, been looking for something of this caliber for awhile... great job, now on to my question
Comments: Hi Wayne! Great website, I will be visiting often. Thanks.
Comments: Nice webpage! And thanks for all of the FREE advice and tips.
Comments: Recently purchased a 16'flat w/ 50h.p. johnson(3rd owner) w/few little problems--this site is a veritable treasure trove of info for a 1st timer like me on repairs-my hat's off to you!
Comments: Thanks for everything!
Comments: One great site,I hope you can keep it running. Finally a site with no "BULL",I am an avid boater, who is very concerned with keeping the boat in top shape. This my 2nd time today on you'r site, I think it's great. Keep it up.
I have made an excellent report to Boat Wire and they have answered my e-mail. We hope that my comments to Boat Wire will be of help for you. Thanks Again.
Thanks for the info Wayne. I've tried to find that out everywhere and no one has been willing to help. Its nice to see that there's still someone left whose willing to lend a hand when its needed. Thanks a million,
Hi Wayne, I can't thank you enough for your help... Unfortunately I don't know any "experts" in the boating field, as my friends and I are mostly computer techies (go figure). Anyway, our Chrysler motor is model
Hi Wayne, I wish you were just down the road! Where is your business, we are in Norfolk England and I guess you are not! Many many thanks for the manual, It is really helpful and I can see that my settings are wrong,(for one thing I cannot begin to thank you enough for your efforts and time. It really is very kind of you. All the best
THANKS BUDDY
Wayne-thank you very much. Back to you in a few days after i try your suggestions-
Hi Wayne The boat goes the best its gone in years!!! absolutely brilliant. Where are you based? I would be interested to know. Cheers
WAYNE THANK YOU FOR THE USEFUL INFORMATION. I WENT BACK TO CHECK THIS ON THE MOTOR.I FOUND TWO BROKEN WIRES COMING OUT OF THE BRAIN. ONE WAS GOING TO THE STATOR AND ONE GOING TO THE #3 PISTON.I REPAIRED THESE WIRES AND THE MOTOR IS RUNNING FINE. THANKS AGAIN
The engine now starts and runs on all 4 cylinders and runs great at idle, and I also get the "bright, dim, dim" from the new rectifier !! I'm gonna try for the lake this weekend to try it out !! I can't thank you enough for your help and advice Many many thanks for all your help.
The thing fired up on the first pull and really runs great. Thanks from far away.I bet you help alot of folks
You were absolutely right! I've pulled these apart before, but didn't know I could pull the brushes. It works perfectly!
Wayne, just wanted to say thank you for responding so quickly. All the marinas and boat dealers around here wont talk or help you unless you have a 30,000 boat. It's nice to know some people are still decent and nice... Thanks again and take care.
Thank you very much for your time in answering my question about fuel mix. I won't be trying to fire up my little West Bend 9hp til spring now (getting pretty cold in WI now). I'll just be winterizing. I hope this thing runs good, it looks almost brand new under the cover and has good compression. Ought to push my 14ft jon boat along pretty well if it does run. Thanks Again
Comments: Wayne, Thanks for a great site. I would like 2 things: 1) to subscribe to your free newsletter 2) I have a question about my newly purchased
Thanks for an excellent site that was a pleasure to read....even the parts about outboards etc. that don't even apply to me! Regards from Texas, Curt
comments: Wayne: What a nice site you have. Thanks for the quality information on what, for most people, is a expensive hobby. I wish there were more people with the attitude toward business and life you seem to have. It would be a better world.
city: HOUSTON comments: A BIG THANK YOU,
thanks a bunch Wayne. I truly appreciate your help. !!!
city: seattle comments: Great Website. Its very difficult to find much information about outboard motor repair and maintenance online.
