Recently we were on vacation and my son borrowed a vest that we were told was a water ski vest.

He swam much better with it than the water wings, we are desperately trying to find where to buy this vest.

We live in NYC and are vacationing in Cape Cod.

Does anyone Know the vest I'm referring to?

It's yellow foam, rubbery with a one snap closure-no belting.

My answer: You may want to try one of the child's life vests shown right here, or pick one up locally

Super-K has them during the season at good prices also.

Kids out grow them fast and I pass mine on to folks with younger kids, they seem to last forever.

Keep in mind that not all ski vests are US Coast Guard approved flotation devices for water craft use.

Have a good summer, Wayne

Adult life jackets; click right here. Rips and tears in your life jackets fail a USCG inspection!
Click here for throw rings and buoys. A good idea to have aboard and required on most boats!
Click here for flares and flare guns. Remember they are dated so check yours before the boating season arrives!
Fred Langa discovered a pretty cheap safety device, here's an excerpt from his June 4th newsletter:

In our article on recycling CDs back in August, Steve Webster of the US Coast Guard Auxiliary said "We give these away as survival reflectors (every life jacket should have one stowed in a pocket to signal for rescue).

If anyone would like to get rid of their CDs in this way, we would appreciate them very much."

or you may wish to subscribe to his newsletter at the little box with his mug on it, I highly reccomend it, as Fred is always right on time with his advice on computers.

He's got a sense of humor that's refreshing too!
