I would also check for suction leaks...... all the way to the pick-up in tank.
Loose clamps, old hoses, or the smallest pinhole(ever so slight) can cause the same problem.

Hi,
I have a gas problem.
When i pump my primer bulb I cannot get anything out of it except air.
I cannot get any gas to pump out or into motor.
thanks!!
My reply:
Have you tried a new Primer bulb or complete hose assembly?
Order one on-line, just click the banner at the top of the page and you'll find most anything you need for your boat and motor at a great price.
You can also get one right in sporting goods department at K-mart and W-mart.
I tell all my customers to keep an extra fuel line-primer bulb assembly in their boat all the time.
Because of the alcohol in todays gas deterioating the check-valves in the primer bulbs, they cause 9 out of 10 fuel related problems.
I'll be adding lots more tips and helpful information in the weeks to come.
In the meanwhile should you have a specific question you need an answer to just E-mail me and I'll do my best to help.
